What time is check-in?

Check-in is from 3:00pm onwards.

If you’d like to start your holiday a little earlier, Early Check-In is available from 2:00pm by prior arrangement, subject to availability.

What time is check-out?

Check-out is by 10:00am on the day of departure.

For a more relaxed departure, Late Check-Out is available until 12:00pm by prior arrangement, subject to availability.

How many guests can each Safari tent accommodate?

Bramble and Hawthorn can each accommodate up to 5 guests. Each lodge features one double bedroom and one bedroom with a triple bunk bed.

Please note that all facilities, furnishings, and kitchen equipment are provided for a maximum of 5 guests, including seating, crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils.

Are bed linen and towels provided?

Yes, all bed linen and towels are included.

Is there heating in the Safari Tent?

Yes, each lodge has a cosy log burner, along with extra blankets and hot water bottles.

Is the hot tub included in the booking?

The hot tub is available as an optional add-on for £50 per stay.

What local produce is available during our stay?

As a welcome gift, a complimentary bottle of fresh pasteurised milk will be waiting for you in the fridge on arrival.

Should you need a top-up during your stay, our on-site vending machine offers fresh milk, delicious milkshakes, locally produced yoghurts, butter, cream, and eggs.

You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase meat from our farm butchery, allowing you to enjoy produce from animals reared right here on the farm as part of your countryside experience.

Can I bring my dog?

Well-behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.

Can dogs be left unattended in the lodge?

No, dogs must not be left unattended at any time.

Can we meet the farm animals?

Guests may have the opportunity to meet some of our animals and learn more about life on a working dairy farm.

Is the farm safe for children?

Yes, but children must be supervised at all times as this is a working farm with vehicles and livestock.

Is there Wi-Fi?

No. Village Farm Hideaway is designed to help you switch off and enjoy the countryside. A DAB radio and Bluetooth speaker are provided.

Is there a TV?

No, there are no TVs in our lodges.

Village Farm Hideaway is designed to help you switch off, slow down, and enjoy the peace of the countryside. Instead, you’ll find books, board games, jigsaws, a DAB radio, and a Bluetooth speaker to help you relax and reconnect with nature and your loved ones.

Is there mobile phone signal?

Most major networks receive signal, although coverage may vary.

Can I charge my electric vehicle at the Hideaway?

Unfortunately, we do not currently have facilities for charging electric vehicles at the lodges. Guests are kindly asked not to charge vehicles using the lodge power supply.

Is parking available?

Yes, free parking is available in the designated Car park

Is there a shop nearby?

Yes, there are several shops and supermarkets within a short drive.

Can I order a breakfast box?

Yes, breakfast boxes can be pre-ordered and include farm-fresh produce.

What should I bring?

We provide bed linen, towels, kitchen essentials, logs, firelighters, books, games and hot water bottles. We recommend bringing suitable outdoor clothing, wellies during wet weather, and your favourite food and drinks.
